Metal God Earl Root is Dead, RIP Friend!

Earl Root, Metal God, has died of cancer. For over 20 years he spent his Saturday nights to Sunday mornings blasting out the best in metal on his Root of all Evil show.

He gave first airplay to many bands like mine, The Unholy, and as anyone in the business knows, no one plays you until someone does first. For us, Earl was that someone. He ran Root Cellar Records and a record label, Root of all Evil Records.

Earl was a musician, playing guitar in Disturbed (the original real metal one) and more recently in Aesma Daeva.

Thanks for all of your support over the years Earl.
